Garden delights

My garden has been kind to me this week! Im not quite sure why, I haven't been giving it all the love and attention it deserves.
I was so excited by the radish, that I ate them right there and then, so techniquely....... they were my breakfast!!   YUM

Taggy Blanky!!

Whats a Taggy Blanky??
This is a Taggy Blanky!!

The top side is bright cotton fabic, and the underside is a nice fleece fabric. Around the edge is ribbon.
I saw some at a craft market once, but with no baby to buy for, I filed the idea away in the back of my mind somewhere!

But not long later, along came baby number 3.
And when she was born a neighbour gave her a Taggy Blanky that she had made. So then I got inspired and made a few myself! A great way to use up scrap material!

My Mothers Day

Mothers Day 2012

Mothers Day this year has been awesome!
It's the first mothers day with my bubba girl. And I have been totally spoilt by the boys.
They were so proud of the lovely gifts they bought me from their school Mothers Day Stall. They all made beautiful cards, and together with Dad they choose the owl necklace (pictured above).
My day started with a coffee (and biscuit) in bed. Then we headed to Rockingham to Mum and Dads house, where Dad cooked up a huge feast on the BBQ.
It was definately a great day - and very exhausting! Only thing missing was that I didnt get to do any craft!!

Happy Mothers Day

(borrowed from sheknows.com)

Happy Mothers Day!!!!

Wishing all the mum's out there (especially mine!) a very happy Mothers Day! May it be filled with all things crafty and beautiful!

Yummy Friday Favourite!

Oh.my.goodness!!!!!! I found this recipe of a Raspberry Slice. It is sooooo good. Exactly like mum used to make when I was little.

It was really easy to make too (bonus!). Heres the recipe:

Prepare a lamington tin and preheat oven to 180

Bottom Layer:                                                           Top Layer:
100g butter or margarine                                           1 egg
1 cup sugar (I used a bit less)                                   1/2 cup sugar
2 eggs                                                                        1 cup coconut
1 1/2 cups self raising flour
1/2 cup of warm raspberry jam (or another flavour if you prefer)

Bottom Layer:
Cream the butter and sugar together. Add eggs then flour.
Press into greased laminton tin.
Gently spread the warm raspberry jam over the bottom layer. Make sure it goes right to the edges.

Top Layer:
Mix together the egg, sugar and coconut.
Layer it over the jam
Bake for around 30 mins or the top has turned a light brown.
Wait until its cool before slicing.

ENJOY!!!!!

Friday Favourite!

Ok ok, I hear you, yes techniquely it is Saturday, not Friday, but I found this yesterday (on Friday) and I love it (it's a favourite), so its going into my Friday favourites file!!

This is a lovely little card that my mum bought for me and my family at Christmas. She knew my love for owls, so although its not a traditional card, it serves the purpose even better.
